Storage Quota

When you use the Google Photos website or application, you can choose to limit the quality of media items such that they don't count towards your storage limit on Google. Unfortunately, this is not possible when using any other applications to upload media items, including this one.

When uploading media items to Google Photos, it is important to note that ALL items will count towards your total storage quota on Google, regardless of the size or quality of the items.

This even includes items which are already in your library and were not previously counted against your limit. If you upload the same item again using another app, the item will now count against your storage.
